William R. Loss, 71, of Forestville, passed away March 29, 2022 at his home after a long battle with cancer. He was born May 21, 1950 to the late Roy and Esther (Warczinsky) Loss.
He married Elaine (Sadro) on June 2, 1973 at Trinity Lutheran Church of Forestvillle.
Bill was employed at Midwest Rubber Company for 30 years, Valley Enterprises, and Mueller Brass. He was a member of Pheasants Forever, Thumb Steel Headers, and the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary. Bill was an avid fisherman, he enjoyed camping at the Sebewaing Campground, spending time with family and friends, playing cards, helping others, hunting, gardening and canning. He was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church where he served as past president and usher.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine; four daughters, Heather (Tom) Socia of Ruth, Elizabeth Carpenter of Warren, Darla Loss of Forestville, and Kayla (Miles) Kieft of Muskegon; grandchildren, William Anderson, Alexis Anderson both of Ruth, William Carpenter, Jr., and Carol Carpenter, both of Warren; brothers and sisters, Carl (Vicky) Loss of Minden City, Rick (Brenda) Loss of Palms, Diane (Al) Williamson of Minden City, Cindy (Gary) Chambers of Sandusky and Fred Loss of Ruth; sisters and brothers-in-law, Joan (Gene) Pitzer of Moatsville, WV, Pat (Dave) Horan of Minden City, Lynn (Joe) Panula, Swartz Creek, Jean (Dale) Sontag of Deckerville, Sue (Jim) Meyer of Chesterfield, Rick (Debbie) Sadro of Ubly, Dorothy (Charlie) Schwall of Sarasota, FL, Kathy (Jimmy) Gingas of Port Charlotte, FL, Jane Sadro, Palms, Paul (Sylvia) Sadro, Miami Beach, FL, Doug (Vicky) Sadro of Clio, Steve (Laura) Sadro of Caro, and Melissa (Terry) Block of Minden City; and many nieces and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Esther Loss, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mark and Mary Sadro; brothers-in-law, David Sadro and Peter Sadro
Funeral service for Bill will be held Saturday, April 9th at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Forestville with Pastor Henry Hales officiating. Visitation will be held at the church beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the family discretionary fund.
