Mrs. Ruth M. Klee, 80 of Minden City, passed away Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Autumnwood of Deckerville.
She was born on February 27, 1941 in Snover to the late Grant and Pearl (Rockwell) Meredith. She married Frank J. Klee Jr. on December 1, 1962 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Ruth. He preceded her in death on October 3, 2018.
Ruth was a 1960 graduate of Cass City High School. She was a Detroit beauty school graduate and worked at the Hudson Department Store for a few years before returning home to the Minden City/Deckerville area where she continued working until she retired in 1981. Ruth crop farmed with her family until 2018. She enjoyed playing solitaire and taking care of her cats and dogs. She enjoyed nature and watching the beautiful animals that reside within it. Ruth loved reading and visiting flea markets whenever she could.
Ruth is survived by her children, Christine (Alex) Miller of St. Clair, Carolyn (Bernie) Wolschleger of Carsonville, Cathy Klee of Deckerville, Michael (Mary Beth) Klee of Minden City, Tracie (Douglas) Turner of Port Orange, Fla.; 11 grandchildren, Cheryl (Mark) Lindow, Daniel and Allan Miller, Ashley (Cody) Markham, Brianna Tarzwell, Dawn Albrecht and Sarah (Bret) Cleary, Daelyn (Gabriel) Jones, David Wolschleger, Erica and Nicole Klee; two great grandchildren, Dexter Lindow, Olivia Cleary; several in-laws.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Terri Klee Tarzwell; grandson, Jacob Wolschleger; two bothers, Alvin and Dale Meredith; two sisters, Ann Powell and Lorraine Hill.
The service for Ruth will be held at 5:00 pm on Friday, February 18 at the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home in Ubly. Ruth will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Frank in the Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery in the spring.
Visitation will be at the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home in Ubly on Friday, February 18 from 1:00-5:00 pm.
