Rosalie M Weiss

            Mrs. Rosalie M. Weiss, 83 of Ubly passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at the Huron County Medical Care Facility in Bad Axe.

            She was born on July 3, 1940 in Harbor Beach to the late John and Irene (Schulte) Stapleton. She married Kenneth Weiss on April 25, 1959 in Harbor Beach.

            Rosalie loved driving around with Kenneth and going to various places to eat and visit with people. Her favorites were the Farmer’s Tavern in Ruth and the Lady Jane Pub in Ubly.

            Rosalie is survived by her husband of 64 years, Kenneth of Ubly; her daughter, Carole (Steven) Lewthwaite; two granddaughters, Sarah Lewthwaite and Naomi (Luke) Tubia; three sisters, Ann (Rocky) Wright, Barbara (Warren) Geiger, Deanna (William) Wruble; two brothers, Robert (Georgia) Stapleton, Dean Stapleton; one brother-in-law, Lynn Morell; one sister-in-law, Kathy Matlock.

            She was preceded in death by two sons, Kenneth Jr. and Robert; two grandsons, Daniel and Timothy Lewthwaite; one sister, Maureen Morell; three brothers, Thomas, Dennis and Gregory Stapleton; her in-laws, twins, Jeanette and Janice Weiss, Shelva (Alvin) Finkle, Betty (Wilber) Eggert, Helen (Arnold) Schave, Phyllis (Richard) Haggerty.

            Cremation has taken place. Per the family wishes, there will be no services for Rosalie.

            Care had been entrusted to the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home in Ubly.
