Mr. Larry James Silver, 70 of Bad Axe, passed away unexpectedly on November 7, 2018.
He was born on September 14, 1948 in Bad Axe, MI to the late George and Reva (Davis) Silver.
Larry was a graduate of Ubly High School. He served two years in the US Navy before going to work at Labadie in Bay City in the body shop. He was eventually promoted to body shop manager and spent 18 years with Labadie, before joining Farm Bureau Insurance Company as an auto insurance adjuster. He was still employed with Farm Bureau up until his death. Larry enjoyed building model trains, collecting and firing guns, watching Westerns and NASCAR on TV, attending tractor pulls, as well as playing Euchre. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Larry is survived by two daughters, Tiffany (Jason Baker) Silver of Midland, MI, Lindsay (Andrew Hollembaek) Silver of Las Vegas, NV, one granddaughter from Andy and Lindsay, Elzada Hollembaek, one brother Richard (Mary) Silver of Albuquerque, NM, and one sister, Barbara (David) Danby of Tuscon, AZ.
The funeral service for Larry will be 12 noon Tuesday, November 13 at the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the service at noon. Burial will be in the Elkland Township Cemetery in Cass City.
Memorials have been requested to Larry's family, care of his daughter, Tiffany Silver.
