Mrs. Kimberly L. Peyerk, age 59, of Filion, passed away at home surrounded by family on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 after a brief battle from cancer.
She was born May 19, 1959 in Mt. Clemens. She was a 1977 graduate of Adlai E. Stevenson High School. She married Thomas Peyerk on May 14, 1982 in Rapson St. Joseph’s Parish.
She worked at Biff’s Bowling Bar in Kinde. She loved to crochet and was an avid member of the Rapson Sportsman’s Club where she loved to help out at fish frys. She enjoyed riding 4 wheelers, motorcycles, hunting & gardening.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Thomas; son, Raymond (Nicole) Peyerk; grandson, Roman Peyerk, Joslyn and Parker; siblings, Robert (Joan) Azar, Randy Azar, Jeremy Azar; father, Frank Azar; mother-in-law, Evelyn Peyerk, brothers & sisters-in-law, Phil (Diane) Peyerk, Janet Schultz, Kathy Osantowski, Paul (Angela) Peyerk, many nieces and nephews and her special cousin who was like a sister to her, Cheryl Peyerk.
She was preceded in death by her son, Joshua Peyerk; mother, Diane Azar; father-in-law, Elmer Peyerk; nephew, Ehren Peyerk.
The funeral service for Kimberly will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, August 21 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rapson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery
Visitation will be at the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home on Monday from 2:00-9:00 pm and on Tuesday at St. Joseph Church in Rapson from 10:00-10:45 am. There will be a vigil service Monday evening at 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been requested to the Family Discretionary Fund care of Thomas Peyerk.
