Mrs. Joeva C. Bukoski, 86 of Ubly passed away Sunday, March 14, 2021 at Courtney Manor in Bad Axe.
She was born on November 12, 1934 in Tyre to the late Joseph and Ann (Schiestel) Franzel. She married Harry Bukoski on October 25, 1952 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on April 29, 2005.
Joeva was a graduate of the Freiburg Country School. She worked various jobs in the area. Joeva retired from Deckerville Dieform in 1996. She was a parishioner of Good Shepherd Parish, St. John Catholic Church in Ubly where she was a former member of the Christian Mothers, She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her cherished grandchildren.
Joeva is survived by five children, Carl (Sally), Mary (Jack) Osentoski, Joseph (JoEllen), Joann Volmering and special friend Richard Hoffman, Vincent (Kelly); 15 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 7 step grandchildren; one brother, Carl (Ilene) Franzel; one sister-in-law, Betty Ward; one brother-in-law, Lawrence (Marlene) Bukoski.
Joeva was preceded in death by her husband, Harry; one son Kenneth Bukoski Sr. ; one daughter-in-law, Cari Lynn Bukoski; two great grandchildren, Noah and Micah Gray; one sister Dolores Perkins and her husband, James “Bud”.
Mass of Christian burial for Joeva will be 3:00 pm Wednesday, March 17 at St. John Catholic Church, Good Shepherd Parish in Ubly, Rev. T.J. Fleming, pastor of St. Hubert Parish in Bad Axe will officiate. Joeva will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Harry, in the St. John Catholic Cemetery in Ubly.
Visitation will be at St. John Catholic Church Wednesday from 1:30 until the Mass at 3:00.
Memorials have been requested to Joeva’s family, care of her daughter, Mary Osentoski.
