Mrs. Irene A. Krozek, 85 of Bad Axe, formerly of Rapson, passed away Wednesday evening, June 2, 2021 at the Huron County Medical Care Facility.
She was born on June 26, 1935 in Bad Axe to the late Edward and Agnes (Watchowski) Murawski. She married Anthony Krozek on May 14, 1955 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rapson. He preceded her in death on September 13, 1987.
Irene was a graduate of Bad Axe High School. She moved to Warren and was employed as a clerk/secretary at Soss Manufacturing for over 20 years. She was a parishioner at St. Cletus Catholic in Warren. Irene moved back to her Verona area home in 1989. She enjoyed plants, pets and trips to the casinos.
Irene is survived by her son, Wayne (Victoria) of Cadillac; one step-granddaughter, Kristy Groth of Minn., two brothers-in-law, Jay Hanson of FL, James Kolar of Warren; one sister-in-law, Helen Peyerk of Bad Axe.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Dolores Goniwiecha; her friend of many years, Troy Sweeten.
The Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 am Saturday, June 5 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Hubert Parish in Rapson. Rev. T.J. Fleming, pastor, will officiate. Irene will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Anthony in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be at church Saturday from 10:00-10:45 am.
