Evelyn Irene (Jarett Simmons) Weber

Evelyn Irene (Jarrett Simmons) Weber, of Ruth, formally from Argyle, passed away peacefully on Thursday July 28, 2022 at Courtney Manor Skilled Nursing Facility in

Bad Axe, Michigan .

Evelyn was born November 10, 1927 in Sandusky , Michigan to the late Ralph and Olive (Hecock) Jarrett. She married Curtis Simmons on Sept. 30, 1950. He preceded her in death on April 1, 1998. She married Joseph Weber, of Ruth on August 11, 2000. He preceded her in death on December 7, 2020.

She attended Sandusky High School. She was a member of the former Argyle United Methodist Church. She worked for Snover Stamping until her retirement in 1975. She was a member of the Decker Eastern Star No. 438. She loved to go around to nursing homes singing and playing her guitar. She cherished spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Evelyn is survived by two daughters, Lena (Raymond) Clor of Deford; Frances Simmons of Cass City; one son, Ralph (Don Piercefield) Simmons of Kalamzoo, adopted daughter, Diane (late Carl) Gyurko of Caro; four step children, Alan (Sue) Weber of Minden City, Shellie (Paul) Siemen of Jeddo  and including two daughters-in–law, Eleanor Weber of Harbor Beach, Patti Weber of Arizona; six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter; six step grandchildren and 7 great step grandchildren; one sister in-law, Karen Jarrett of McKinney TX; one brother in-law, Ken Simmons of Clarkston , Michigan; several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, Curtis Simmons and Joseph Weber; her infant sister; Irene Jarrett; sister, Marion (late Gerald) Rodgers; one brother, Calvin Jarrett; stepsons, Rick Weber and Jake Weber.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday August 5th at the Zinger Smigielski Funeral Home in Ubly, Michigan. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the service at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Robert Demyanovich from the Cass City United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Argyle Township Cemetery.
