Donald Marcus Siemen

Mr. Donald M. Siemen, 55, of Ruth, passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak.

            Don was born on May 19, 1965 in Harbor Beach to Donald and Agnes (Klee) Siemen. He married Kimberly Tageson on December 29, 1984 at Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church in Harbor Beach.

            Don graduated from Harbor Beach High School. He farmed with his family for many years. He eventually started working for the areas Co-op Elevators, spending most of his time at the Ruth site. Don also enjoyed gardening, tending to and working with his farm animals and spending time with his cherished family. Most days, you would find Don tinkering on His truck. He spent his last days on earth doing his favorite things, gardening and spending time with those he loved, his precious family. Please take comfort in knowing Don has been reunited with his daughter, Brooke, whom never left his heart.

            Don is survived by his wife of 36 years, Kimberly of Ruth; one son, Ryan Siemen and his wife, Marie of Kingston; Dr. Whitney Bailey MD and her husband, Rick of West Bloomfield; five grandchildren, Maverick Marcinko, Jace Siemen, Emma Siemen, Jasper Siemen, Clara Bailey; his siblings, Robert Siemen and his wife, Judy, Richard Siemen and his wife, Jenny, Kenneth Siemen and his wife, Michelle, Diane Staif and her husband, John,Christopher Siemen and his wife, Carrie.

            Don was preceded by his daughter Brooke Marcinko.

            The Mass of Christian burial for Don will be 11:00 am, Monday, May 24 at Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church, Holy Name of Mary Parish in Harbor Beach. Rev. George Amos, pastor will officiate.

            It was Don's wishes to be cremated. He will then be laid to rest in the Marquardt Cemetery in Port Hope.

            Visitation will be at the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home in Ubly on Sunday from 2:00-7:00 pm and Monday from 10:00-11:00 am Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church only. There will be a parish vigil service Sunday evening at 6:00 pm at the funeral home.

            Memorials have been requested to Don’s family, care of his wife, Kimberly.
