Cynthia A. McCoy

Cynthia McCoy, 66, of Harbor Beach, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family.

Cindy was born March 8, 1956 in Naples, Italy. She married the love of her life, Joseph McCoy, after meeting him at the Gillis Hotel. They were married on November 8, 1975 in Ubly.

Cindy grew up as a “Navy Brat” on naval bases throughout the United States as a child. She was a lover of animals especially her cat “Kiki” and recently departed labradoodle “Ralph”. She loved the holidays especially Christmas and Halloween and her house was always decorated to the hilt. She was a great baker and was always known for her homemade pecan pies and holiday meals.

Carrying on her memory are four children, Kerry (Doug) Regentin of Deckerville, Ryan (Jessmine) McCoy of Harbor Beach, Shawn (Allison) McCoy of Bad Axe, and Brett (Kristen) McCoy of Minden City; one sister, Lisa (Bob) Kolar of Palms; five grandchildren, Riley Regentin, Joey McCoy, Cora McCoy, Heidi McCoy and Hannah McCoy; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald Harrar and Marjorie (Richard “Nick”) Furne; two sisters, infant Kristina J. Harrar and Melanie Lautner; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joseph and Gloria McCoy.

The memorial Mass for Cindy will be 12 noon Tuesday, October 18 at St. John Catholic Church, Good Shepherd Parish of Ubly. The family will receive family and friends at the church from 10:00 am until the mass at noon.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to her family, care of her husband Joseph McCoy.
