Mrs. Alita Mae Rutkowski, 86 of Ubly Passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at her residence while under hospice care.
She was born on December 24, 1934 in Parisville to the late Sylvester and Blanche (Puvalowski) Cook. She married Anthony Rutkowski on November 3, 2001 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, St. Hubert Parish in Bad Axe.
Alita was a graduate of Ubly High School. She worked various jobs in the county building for 45 years, spending the majority of that time in the MSU Extension office.
She enjoyed traveling to local casinos, Hawaii, Canada and all over the United States.
Alita is survived by her husband, Anthony of Ubly; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bernard and Delphine Rutkowski of Kinde, Dorothy Kolar of Ubly, Josephine Essenmacher of Birch Run, Betty (Bill) Siemen of Imlay City, Susan Rutkowski of Harbor Beach.
She was preceded in death by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Larry Rutkowski, Margaret Zalewski, Robert Rutkowski, Albert Kolar, George Essenmacher.
Mass of Christian burial will be 11 am Saturday, March 20 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, St. Hubert Parish in Bad Axe. Rev. T.J. Fleming, pastor will officiate. Alita will be laid to rest in the Verona Township Cemetery.
Visitation will be Saturday at Sacred Heart Church from 10:00-11:00 am.
