Lillian M. Schumacher

Mrs. Lillian M. Schumacher, 82 of Harbor Beach passed away Sunday, December 10, 2017 at Courtney Manor in Bad Axe. She was born on June 29, 1935 in Harbor Beach to the late Roy and Mary (Chickonoski) Wisenbaugh. She married James C. Schumacher on October 8, 1955 at Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church in Harbor Beach. He preceded her in death in February of 2004. Lillian was a 1952 graduate of Harbor Beach High School. She was the manager of the Harbor Beach Community Credit Union for over 20 years before retiring in 2012. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church, Holy Name of Mary Parish in Harbor Beach where she was the former bookkeeper. Lillian was a member and former officer of the Harbor Beach American Legion Auxiliary, Harbor Beach Women’s Club Association and the Red Hats Society. Lillian enjoyed puzzles and traveling with family. Lillian is survived by one daughter, Valerie See and her husband, Jon of Deckerville; three sons, James and his wife Susan of Canton Twp., Eric of Harbor Beach, Thomas and his wife, Anita of Harbor Beach; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; one sister, Nancy Sherman of St. Clair Shores; one brother, Roy “Jim” Wisenbaugh of Harbor Beach. She was preceded in death by one son, David; one grandson, Dennis Schumacher; one sister, Marian “Mickey” Schave. A private memorial service for Lillian will be held in the spring. Memorials have been requested to the Family Discretionary Fund.
