Joan Cecilia Gunn

Joan Cecilia Gunn (Maida) surrounded by love and family passed away Thursday, November 9, 2017. Born in Pinconning, MI on February 18, 1941 to parents Lottie Regina Maida (Belchak) and Casimer Joseph Maida, the eldest of 7 siblings and a self-proclaimed daddy’s girl. She lived on the family farm until she crashed a wedding and met Allen David Gunn. They were married on May 18, 1962. They raised four devoted children; Jeffery Gunn, Brian Gunn, Janelle Gunn and Allison Gunn and four grandchildren; Cory Gunn (Amanda), Cody Gunn, Cylee Gunn and Zachary Gromak. She loved spending time with family, cooking and baking their favorite foods, playing cards, putting together puzzles, shopping with her daughters, taking walks, watching her Florida birds and dolphins and of course drinking tea. Family and friends will gather, Saturday, November 18 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Annunciation of the Lord Parish, to remember and honor her loving, thoughtful, selfless ways. Rev. Craig Carolan, pastor of Annunciation of the Lord Parish, will officiate. Donations of your choice can be made to a charity or cause that is meaningful to you in her kind memory.
