Mr. James Richard Weber, 68 of Tucson, AZ passed away July 5, 2017 at “The Haven” in Tucson. He was born on July 21, 1948 in Ypsilanti, MI to Nicholas and Dolores (Swayze) Weber. Jim graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in engineering. He was employed as Director of Health, Safety and Environment by Bendix in Washington D.C. and Allied-Signal Aerospace in Torrance, CA. He then became International Director of Health, Safety and Environment for Honeywell in Phoenix, AZ. Jim then settled in Tucson after retiring in 2001. He was a parishioner at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Tucson for 17 years. Jim travelled worldwide for 30 years, especially enjoying local and European cruises. He liked old movies, planning surprises and making people happy. Jim is survived by his children, Marianne (Weber) Duval of Galena, OH, Nicholas Weber of California; two grandchildren; his mother, Dolores of Bay City; sister, Joanne Weber of Maple Valley, MI. He was preceded in death by his father, Nicholas Weber; one sister, Janet (Weber) Leland. A memorial service will be at 1:00 pm Saturday, September 9 at the Smigielski Funeral Home in Minden City with visitation starting at 12:00 noon. Burial will be 1:30 pm at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery in Ruth. Memorials can be made to the charity of your choice.
