Donald Joseph Terbrack

Mr. Donald J. Terbrack, a lifelong resident of Sherman Township, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017 at McLaren Port Huron Hospital. He was born September 2, 1939 at home in Sherman Township to the late John and Cecelia (Booms) Terbrack. He was united in marriage with Nancy Koss on April 27, 1963. Don was a lifelong parishioner of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Holy Apostles Parish in Ruth. He and Nancy lived and worked a dairy farm near Ruth for many years, Don also worked for Michigan Peat Company, Stout Construction and Ruth Farmers Elevator. He loved farming, construction, his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He cherished spending time with his family and friends. Don in survived by his wife, Nancy; children, Kenneth Terbrack and his spouse, Anthony Amaya of San Diego, Dorothy Messing and her spouse Chris of Minden City, Ann Terbrack of Emmett and her fiancé, Dale DeFabio of Goodells, Bill Terbrack and his wife, Kay (Siemen) of Ruth; 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; sisters, Alice Sadro and Rosalia Holdwick, both of Bad Axe; brother, John Terbrack of Southgate; sisters-in-law, Delores (Gentner Terbrack) Roggenbuck and her spouse Harry of Harbor Beach; brothers-in-law, Billie Johnson of Detroit, Jerome Block of Ruth; mother-in-law Dorothy (Spencer) Koss of Harbor Beach; Bonnie (Koss) Muhlitner and her spouse Robert of Vassar, Robert Koss of Fort Gratiot, .Judith Geiger (Charles) of Harbor Beach. He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law Arthur Koss, daughter, Lois Terbrack Dekoski, son, Edward Terbrack; siblings, Herbert Terbrack (Janette Frank), Evelyn (Arthur) Learman, Jeanette (Frank) Seidl, Marvin Terbrack (Jean Reid), Herman Terbrack, Rita (Arthur) Glaza, Marius Terbrack, Beatrice (Norman) Glaza, Matilda Johnson, Gerald Terbrack, Clarence Terbrack, Adelaide Block, Donna (Stimpfel) Terbrack, Kenneth Sadro, Richard Holdwick and good friend Thomas Schumacher. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am Wednesday, May 31 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Holy Apostles Parish in Ruth. Rev. Donald Eppenbrock will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Ruth on Wednesday from 9:00 am until the Mass at 11:00 am.
