Angeline M. Deachin

Mrs. Angeline Deachin, 87 of Ubly, passed away Sunday morning, January 29, 2017 at her residence. She was born on July 6, 1929 in Sand Beach Township to the late Joseph and Martha (Michalski) Geiger. She married Leonard Deachin on February 7, 1959 at St. John Catholic Church in Ubly. Leonard preceded her in death on March 5, 1993. Angeline attended the Ubly Elementary School. Once married, she farmed with Leonard and they retired from farming together in 1984. Angeline also held various other jobs throughout her life. She was a parishioner at St. John Catholic Church of Good Shepherd Parish in Ubly. Angeline enjoyed reading, word searches and cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren. Angeline is survived by her three loving daughters, Karen Deachin, Bonnie Nast and her husband, Dean, and Lynn Messing and her husband, Alvin, all of Ubly; four grandchildren, Brandi Messing and her special friend, Trevor Chappel, Shaun Messing and his special friend, Bridgett Bli of Ubly, Ashley Deachin and her special friend, Matt of Ubly, Lindsey Nast of Ubly; sister-in-law, Caroline Geiger; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Lavern Geiger, Raymond Geiger and his wife, Grace, Louis Geiger and his first wife, Josephine Geiger and his second wife, Emma (Bugai) Geiger, infant Rudolph Geiger; one sister, infant Bertha Geiger. Mass of Christian burial will be Wednesday, February 1 at St. John Church of Good Shepherd Parish in Ubly. Rev. Charles Hammond, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in the St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be at St. John Catholic Church in Ubly on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the Mass at 11:00 am. Memorials have been requested to Good Shepherd Parish.
