Mrs. Mildred M. Duda, 96 of Harbor Beach, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2016 in Bad Axe. She was born on May 19, 1920 in Paris Township to the late Alex and Sabina (Jezak) Susalla. She married Elmer Duda on June 18, 1938 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Parisville. He preceded her in death on October 7, 1972. Mildred attended St. Mary Catholic School in Parisville. She was a lifelong Sigel Township farmer. Mildred was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rapson for 78 years. Mildred is survived by three daughters, Cynthia M. Dunnings of Lansing, Cheryl A. Duda and her significant other, Larry Loveland, of Grand Rapids, Diane D. Torres and her husband, Henry of Vero Beach, Fla.; one daughter-in-law, Sandra Duda of Harbor Beach; grandchildren, Devon Sitterley and her husband, Brent of Ann Arbor, Chad Duda of Chicago, Courtney R. Sanchez and her husband, Luis of Northville, Coral S.M. Ryan and her husband, Brandon of Howell, Winter T. Dunnings of Ann Arbor, Dr. Leah Torres of Salt Lake City, UT, Matthew H. Torres of Vero Beach, Fla.; two great grandsons, Grant and Cole Sitterley of Ann Arbor; goddaughter, Kimberly Duda of Chicago; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Donald J. Duda; two brothers, Raymond and James Susalla and one sister, Rita Walsh. Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 am Monday, December 12, 2016 at St. Hubert Parish, St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rapson. Rev. Robert Howe, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, December 12 at St. Joseph Church in Rapson from 10:00-11:00 am.
