Mrs. Kathryn A. Puvalowski, 69 of Ubly, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Courtney Manor of Bad Axe. She was born on November 14, 1946 in Deckerville to the late Virgil Roy and June (Temple) (Watson) Henry. She married Robert V. Puvalowski on June 19, 1965 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Argyle. He preceded her in death on November 20, 2013. Kathryn was a graduate of Deckerville High School. She farmed with her husband and was a wonderful homemaker. Kathryn was a parishioner of Good Shepherd Parish in Ubly. She enjoyed ceramics, cake decorating, gardening, flowers and visiting with her family, especially her grandchildren. Kathryn is survived by four children, Brian Puvalowski and his wife, Tammy of Ubly, Laura Porzondek and her husband, Gary of Ubly, Kelly Rose and her husband, Robert of Harbor Beach, Kimberly Koehn and her husband, Shawn of Port Hope; 11 grandchildren, Greg Puvalowski and his special friend, Jenny Booms, Brittany and Brandon Lefler, Dakota, Jeremy and Cheyenne Porzondek, Samantha and Alexis Koehn, Robert Rose III and his wife, Kelsi Rochon, Cody Rose and his wife, Katlin;5 great grandchildren, Lily and Vincent Puvalowski, Madelyn Prater, Braylynn and Kayson Rose; one sister, Barb Doerr and her husband, Joe of Argyle; three sisters-in-law, Sally Gracey of Argyle, Doty Glaza and her husband Larry of Ubly, Karen Mausolf and her husband Steve of New Hudson; one brother-n-law, Ron Puvalowski and his wife, Nola of Lake Orion. Kathryn was preceded in death by one son, Gregory A. Puvalowski; one brother, Robert Henry, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ray and Grace Puvalowski, in-laws, Gary Puvalowski, Gloria Puvalowski and Marion Puvalowski. Mass of Christian burial will be Wednesday, May 25 at St. John Church of Good Shepherd Parish in Ubly, Rev. Charles Hammond, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home in Ubly on Tuesday from 1:30-8:00 pm and Wednesday at St. John Church from 10:00-11:00 am. There will be a parish vigil service Tuesday evening at 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorials have been requested to the American Cancer Society.
