Miss Amanda K. Andrews, 35 of Bad Axe passed away unexpectedly Friday, April 8 in Ubly. She was born on June 29, 1980 in Sault Ste. Marie to Russell Andrews and Sherry Bensinger. Amanda married Joseph Essenmacher on September 14, 2001 in Ruth. Amanda attended Sault Ste. Marie Hugh School until the tenth grade. She graduated from Harbor Beach High School in 1999. Amanda was employed at Autumnwood of Deckerville for four years as a CNA. She was also employed at Burger King for 18 months. Amanda enjoyed playing cards, watching TV and hanging out with her family and friends. Amanda is survived by one son, Cavalier Essenmacher and one daughter, Kylee Essenmacher, both of Bad Axe; her father, Russell John Andrews of Barbeau, MI, one sister, Kristina Andrews of Ubly, two brothers, Todd Adams of Caseville and Ethan Andrews of Ubly, paternal grandmother, Alice Andrews of Barbeau, MI, several aunts, uncles and cousins. Amanda was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Bethany Mullins, her mother Sherry Bensinger, one brother, Corey Andrews, maternal grandparents, Bruce and Onnalee Bensinger, paternal grandfather, Clarence Andrews. Amanda’s funeral service will be 3:00 pm Friday, April 15 at the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home in Ubly. Pastor Nancy Bitterling of the Port Austin United Protestant Church and the Pinnebog United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Valley Cemetery in Ubly. Visitation will be at the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home in Ubly on Friday from 9:30 am until the service at 3:00 pm. Memorials have been requested to the Family Discretionary Fund.
