Mr. Norman R. Lemanski, 86 of Bad Axe, passed away Tuesday January 19, 2016 at the Huron Medical Center in Bad Axe. Norman was born July 10, 1929 in Harbor Beach to the late Barney and Agnes (Zurek) Lemanski. He married Theresa M. Lautner on October 18, 1952 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Ruth. She preceded him in death on April 19, 2015. Norman attended the Filmore Country School. He farmed all his life, retiring in 1995. Norman was employed at Active from 1955-1973. He was a member of the Bad Axe Knights of Columbus Council #1546. He was a parishioner at St. Mary Church of St. Isidore Parish in Parisville. Norman was an avid fan of the Detroit Tigers. Norman is survived by his three sons, Allen and his wife, Denean, Thomas Lemanski and Brian and his wife, Stephanie, all of Harbor Beach; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; one sister, Elsie Palach and her husband, Ira of Harbor Beach. He was preceded in death by one son, Norman Jr.; two brothers, Marshall and Leonard Lemanski; five sisters, Loretta Miller, Marie Pulcer, Rose Peruski, Doris Lemanski and Edna Jaskowski. Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 am Saturday, January 23 at St. Mary Church of St. Isidore Parish in Parisville. Rev. Todd Arnberg, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home in Ubly on Friday from 2:00-8:00 pm and Saturday from 10:00-11:00 am at St. Mary Church only. There will be a parish vigil service Friday evening at 6:30 pm and Knights of Columbus rosary at 7:00 pm. Both services will be at the funeral home. Memorials have been requested to the Family Discretionary Fund
