Mrs. Marie Krozek, 94 of Ubly, passed away Monday, June 22, 2015 at Meadow Lane Assisted Living in Bad Axe. Marie was born on February 27, 1921 at the family home in Ubly to the late Joseph and Mary (Kulish) Buchkowski. She married Walter J. Krozek on October 5, 1946 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Parisville. He preceded her in death on December 18, 1977. She attended a country school until the eighth grade. She worked at various jobs in Detroit during WWII. She loved to travel, play cards and bingo, word searches, crossword puzzles, trips to the casinos and planting a garden when she could. Marie was always, always busy. Marie is survived by her four children, Walter Krozek and his wife Marsha of Detroit, Diane White and her husband, Tyrone of Chicago, Lawrence Krozek of Phoenix, AZ, James Krozek of Howell; 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren; one sister, Mathilda Particka of Bad Axe. She was preceded in death by two brother, infant Aloizy Buchkowski and Joseph Buchkowski, eight sisters, Isabelle Swartz, Sophia Susalla, Albina Maurer, Gertrude Susalla (Messing), Emma Fisher, Bernice Ignash, Josephine Miller and Theresa Glaza. Mass of Christian burial will be 12:00 noon Saturday, June 27 at Sacred Heart Church of St. Hubert Parish in Bad Axe. Rev. Robert Howe, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in Most Holy Trinity Cemetery in Smith Corners. Visitation will be at Sacred Heart Church in Bad Axe on Saturday from 10:00 am until the Mass at Noon. Memorials have been requested to the Family Discretionary Fund.
