Evelyn Margaret Kramer

Mrs. Evelyn Margaret Kramer, age 88 of Ruth, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, March 15, 2015 at Courtney Manor in Bad Axe. She was born December 28, 1926 in Ruth, daughter of the late John and Margaret (Sadro) Block. She married Ralph Kramer on May 20, 1952 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church of Ruth. He preceded her in death on March 28, 1991. Evelyn attended Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic school thru the 8th grade. She was lifelong parishioner of Sts. Peter & Paul where she was a Christian Mother and Eucharistic minister and was involved in the religious education program. She loved to crochet and liked to give afghans to her family for special occasions. Evelyn is survived by six sons; Roger (Carolyn) of Harbor Beach, Rodney of Ruth, Richard (Delores) of Parma, Randal of Palms, Robert (Judy) of Harbor Beach, Ronald (Pam) of Harbor Beach, four daughters; Susan (Frank) Wittliff of Port Huron, Barbara (Timothy) Schmidt of Port Huron, Nancy (Tom) Braun of Frankenmuth, Victoria (Dean) Essenmacher of Oxford; 24 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, One brother Jerome (Adelaide) Block. Evelyn was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Mary. Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m., Thursday, March 19 at Holy Apostle Parish, Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church of Ruth. The Rev. Peter Nwokoye, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery in the spring. Visitation will be from 1:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home in Ubly and on Thursday, 10 a.m. until the service time at 11 a.m. There will be a Christian Mothers Rosary at 4 p.m. and a Vigil Service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
