Mrs. Helen A. Wruble, 96 of Bad Axe, passed away February 1, 2015 at Meadow Lane Assisted Living Facility in Bad Axe. She was born on July 14, 1918 in Chicago, IL to the late Frank and Mary (Tora) Piach. She married Edward Wruble on October 29, 1938 in Detroit. He preceded her in death on January 18, 1970. Helen worked on the family farm before becoming employed at Active Industries. She worked there for 27 years before she decided to retire. Helen is survived by her children, Marge Micallef of Fla., Linda Groth of West Branch, Diane (Keith) Shepherd of Port Hope; 9 grandchildren, John Jr., Ed, Pam, Jammie, Christine, Raquel, Keith, Holly, Corey; 7 great grandchildren, Alexis, Travis, Christin, Austin, Jessie, Brook, Chance; one sister, Josephine Manzella. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Gale Miller; son-in-law, Richard Groth, granddaughter, Karen Groth, great granddaughter, Nicole Miller; her siblings, Matt Piach, Cass Piach, Rose Wisniewski, Ted Piach. Mass of Christian burial will be 11 am Thursday, February 5 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church of Good Shepherd Parish in Frieburg. Rev. Charles Hammond, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Ignatius Cemetery in the spring. Visitation will be at St. Ignatius Church on Thursday morning from 10:00-11:00 am. Memorials have been requested to the Family Discretionary Fund.
