Mr. Randy Joseph Peruski, 51 of Ubly, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2014 from a long term illness at home with his loving family by his side while under hospice care. Randy was born on April 8, 1963 in Bad Axe to Stanley and Lorraine (Volmering) Peruski. He married Barbara Grifka on July 7, 1990 at St. John Catholic Church in Ubly. He was a dedicated farmer all of his life and took great pride in everything he did. He loved to be outside and take care of his animals. Randy was well known in the farming community and made so many friends in his lifetime. He was a kind and caring man who would do anything for anyone. Randy cherished spending time with his family and friends and will be greatly missed by those whose lives he touched during his time here on earth. Randy is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Barbara of Ubly; two daughters, Ashley Grifka and her fiancée, Lee Haener of Peck and Kelsey Peruski and her significant other, Jason Schulz of Ubly; one grandson, Easton Schulz of Ubly; his parents, Stanley and Lorraine Peruski of Ubly; two brothers, Daniel and his wife Roxanne, and Kevin and his wife, Debbie, all of Ubly; three sisters, Carolyn Flannery and her husband, Pat of Bad Axe, Kelly Bullock and her husband, Steve of Traverse City, Angie Weber and her husband Tom of Minden City ; his mothers-in-law, Diane Grifka and Catherine Grifka, both of Ubly; one sister-in-law, Donna Osantowski and her significant other, Scott McDonald of Ubly; one brother-in-law, Andrew Grifka of Ubly; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Tyler Peruski, his grandparents, Henry and Grace Peruski, William and Anna Volmering; father-in-law, George Grifka, niece, Jillian Peruski; brother-in-law, Dennis Grifka. Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 am Friday, December 19 at St. John Catholic Church of Good Shepherd Parish in Ubly. Rev. Charles Hammond, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home in Ubly on Thursday from 1:30-9:00 pm and Friday from 9:00-10:00 am. There will be a parish vigil service Thursday evening at 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorials have been requested to the Family Discretionary Fund.
