William M. Fenwick

July 20, 1927 — May 1, 2014

William M. Fenwick, age 86, passed away at his home in Ada, Michigan on Thursday, May 1st 2014 in the presence of his loving family. William was born to Robert and Luella (Schumacher) Fenwick. “Bill” grew up in Minden City, Michigan where he met and married his beloved wife of 64 years, Beatrice (Block). He will be remembered by his children Edward Fenwick, Mary (Walt) Gable, Chris (Thom) Rippon, Julie Fenwick, Renee (Scott) Fries, Annette (Greg) Bomers; grandchildren Shawn, Andrea, Lisa, Justin, Julie, Erik, Sarah, Meghan; great-grandchildren Maddin and Lilli; his sister, Therese Pease. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings and daughter Lisa. Bill proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was deeply committed to his faith and served as a Grand Knight of the Lake Orion Chapter of the Knights of Columbus. Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Peter and Paul Church in Ruth, MI on Monday, May 5th at 11 a.m. Interment will be at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery with graveside military honors. Friends may meet the family at the church beginning at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Vicky’s Pet Connection (www.vickyspetconnection.org) where Bill was a regular volunteer or to St. Paul of the Cross Passionist Retreat and Conference Center (www.stpaulretreat.org).
