Raymond J. Peruski

Mr. Raymond J. Peruski, 77 of Ubly, passed away Friday, February 21, 2014 at Huron Medical Center in Bad Axe. He was born on February 23, 1936 in Ubly to the late Jacob and Anna (Zulka) Peruski. He met and married the love of his life Marie B. Danielski on October 4, 1958 at St. Mary Catholic Church of Parisville. Raymond attended Ubly High School. After high school Raymond worked for Nestles Company in Ubly and then for General Cable Company in Cass City until he retired. Raymond was an avid Detroit Tigers fan and also enjoyed working on cars, painting and drawing. Raymond is survived by his wife Marie and two children Derek Peruski of Ubly and Andrea (Rick) Fox of Cass City. He is also survived by one brother, Ernest (Hilda) Peruski of Lapeer, two sisters-in-law Gertrude Peruski and Rose (Richard) Maikrzek both of Ubly and one brother-in-law Wes Irons of Drayton Plains, MI. Raymond was preceded in death by one daughter Darla Peruski, one sister Evelyn Irons and one brother Melvin Peruski. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 24, at Good Shepherd Parish, St. John Catholic Church in Ubly. Rev. Charles Hammond will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery in the spring. Visitation will be at the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home in Ubly on Sunday from 2 until 9 p.m. and Monday from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. at the Funeral Home.
