Mrs. Sherri Sadro, 51 of Snover, died Sunday, February 16, 2014, at her residence under hospice care, with her family by her side. She was born in Detroit on November 16, 1962, daughter of the late Sylvester and Bernice (Seltz) Ertman. She married Melvin Sadro on August 31, 1985 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Freiburg. Sherri attended St. Florian Catholic High School in Hamtramck from 9th to11th grade and then graduated from Ubly High School. She was employed at the USDA Office in Sandusky for 27 years. Sherri enjoyed pike fishing and playing euchre. She was a member of the Hogsback Euchre Club for over 25 years. She also enjoyed watching and following the Detroit Tigers and the Detroit Red Wings. Sherri is survived by her husband of 28 years, Melvin Sadro of Snover; two sons: Casey Sadro and his wife, Nicole of Bad Axe, Joshua Sadro of Snover; one daughter: Tara Sadro of Hazel Park; three brothers: Lance Ertman and his wife Brenda of Livonia, Dean “Deno” Ertman of Hamtramck, Dewey Ertman of South Lyon. Sherry was preceded in death by her brother Gary Ertman and a sister Debra Ertman. Mass of Christian burial will be 11 am Thursday, February 20 at Good Shepherd Parish, St. John Catholic Church in Ubly. Rev. Charlie Hammond, pastor of will officiate. Visitation will be at the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home in Ubly on Wednesday from 2:30-9:00 pm and Thursday from 10-11 am at the church only.
