Virgil Palach, 66 of Filion, formerly of Parisville, passed away Monday, November 25, 2013 at the Langley AFC Home in Filion. Virgil was born in Bad Axe on June 16, 1947 to the late Xavier and Agnes (Laba) Palach. Virgil was a lifelong parishioner at St. Mary Catholic Church in Parisville. He farmed with his family all of his life. He is survived by one brother, Clements and his wife, Bertha, of Fla.; three sisters, Genevieve Kondziolka and her husband, Stanley of Port Austin, Christine Jaworski and her husband, Edwin of Filion, Josephine Kleiner and her husband, Jerry of Warren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Clarence; one half brother, Julius Laba; nephew, Richard Jaworski. Mass of Christian Burial is being planned for 11 am Wednesday, November 27. Visitation will be at the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home in Ubly on Tuesday from 6:00-9:00 pm and at St. Mary Church in Parisville on Wednesday from 9:00-11:00 am. Memorials are requested to the Family Discretionary Fund.
