Mr. Robert V. Puvalowski, 70 of Ubly, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at McLaren Bay Region in Bay City. Robert was born on November 7, 1943 in Argyle to the late Raymond V. and Grace M. (Grifka) Puvalowski. He married Kathryn Henry on June 19, 1965 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Argyle. Robert was a 1963 Ubly High School graduate. He farmed with his family most of his life. He was a lifelong member of St. John Catholic Church in Ubly. Robert was also a member of the Farm Bureau. He enjoyed bowling in his younger years and liked westerns, playing cards. He truly enjoyed traveling throughout Michigan and to Arizona, Florida and Missouri. Robert cherished time spent visiting with his family and grandchildren. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Kathryn of Ubly; one son, Brian and his wife, Tammy of Ubly; three daughters, Laura Porzondek and her husband, Gary of Ubly, Kelly Puvalowski and her fiancé, Robert Rose of Harbor Beach, Kimberly Koehn and her husband, Shawn of Port Hope; 7 grandchildren, Gregory Puvalowski, Brittany Puvalowski, Dakota Porzondek, Jeremy Porzondek, Cheyenne Porzondek, Samantha Koehn and Alexis Koehn; one great granddaughter, Lilly Puvalowski; one brother, Ronald and his wife, Nola of Lake Orion; two sisters, Doty Glaza and her husband, Larry of Ubly, Karen Mausolf and her husband, Steve of New Hudson; his in-laws, Joe and Barb Doerr of Argyle, Sally Gracey of Argyle. He was preceded in death by one son Gregory, one brother, Gary Puvalowski, two sisters, Gloria Puvalowski and Marian Puvalowski, one brother-in-law, Robert Henry. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 am Saturday, November 23 at St. John Church, Good Shepherd Parish in Ubly. Rev. Todd Arnberg, pastor of St. Isidore Parish, will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home in Ubly on Friday from 1:00-9:00 pm and Saturday from 10-11 am at St. John Church only. There will be a parish vigil service Friday evening at 7:30 pm at the funeral home. Memorials are requested to the Family Discretionary Fund.
