Mrs. Marlene Peruski, 75 of North Port, Florida, and formerly of Minden City, passed away peacefully Monday, June 17, 2013 at her home with her family by her side while under hospice care. She was born on October 5, 1937 in Minden City to the late Alphonse Sr. and Beatrice (Halifax) Tenbusch. She married Michael Peruski Jr. on September 24, 1955 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Palms. Marlene attended Ubly High School. She and her husband raised their family in Flint and attended St. Leo Church. In 1995, they moved to Florida where she was a parishioner at San Pedro Church in North Port, Fla. Marlene was an avid walker, enjoyed baby sitting and loved collecting things over the years. Her true passions were traveling, spending time with her family and taking care of others. Marlene is survived by her husband of 57 years, Michael Peruski Jr. of North Port, Fla.; three sons, Steven and his wife, Kim of West Bloomfield, Richard and his special friend, Dianne of Goodrich, Michael III and his wife, Lynette of Westland; one daughter, Trina O’Boyle and her husband, Mort of Philadelphia; ten grandchildren, Christopher Peruski, Joshua (Heather) Peruski, Steve Peruski, Matthew Peruski, Cassandra (Joel) Martin, Tayler Peruski, Jackson O’Boyle, Finnegan O’Boyle, Ashely Kolb, Alyssa Kolb; six great grandchildren, Kiersten, Maya, Gavin,, Riquel, Alex and Spencer Peruski; her siblings, Lorraine (Frank) McCoy of Marlette, Gerald (Joanne) Tenbusch of North Port, Fla., Donald (Annie) Tenbusch of Middleburg, Fla., Gaylord “Butch” (Faye) Tenbusch of Chesapeake, VA., Charles “Bill” (Marge) Tenbusch of North Port, Fla., Karen (Dennis) Gentner of Ruth; two brothers-in-law, Ray (Sharon) Peruski of Au Gres, Frank Malloy; two sisters-in-law, Geraldine Tenbusch of Ruth and Carol Tenbusch; several nieces and nephews. Marlene was preceded in death by one daughter-in-law, Jennifer Peruski, two brothers, Alphonse Jr. and Richard Tenbusch; one sister, Joan Malloy. Mass of Christian burial will be 11 am Friday, June 21, 2013 at St. John Catholic Church in Ubly. Rev. Joseph Griffin, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home in Ubly on Thursday from 1-9 pm and Friday from 9-10 am. There will be a vigil service Thursday evening at 7 pm at the funeral home.
