Catherine Theresa Martinez

Mrs. Catherine T. Martinez, 80 of Ubly, passed away Monday morning, February 25, 2013 at her residence under hospice care. Catherine was born on October 8, 1932 in Detroit to the late James and Sophie (Rash) Senepole. Catherine attended the Marlette High School. She worked at Hamill Seatbelt Factory in Ubly for 41 years. Catherine is survived by her fiancée Alvin Wagner of Ubly; six children, Richard and his wife, Vickie of Bay City, Cathy Stout and her husband, Greg of Marlette, Paul and his wife, Ruby of Sebewaing, Connie Moreau of Bay City, Sophie Martinez of Pontiac, Antoinette Eberle and her husband, Joseph of Bad Axe; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; three brothers, Roy Senepole and his wife, Betty, Sam Senepole and his wife, Rose, Joseph Senepole and his wife, Ruth, two sisters-in-law, Marie Senepole and Gertrude Senepole, both of Detroit. She was preceded in death by two brothers, George and Jim Senepole. The funeral service will be 1:00 pm Friday, March 1 at the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home in Ubly. Rev. Thomas Puzio, Catherine’s relative, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Michael Catholic Cemetery in Wilmont in the spring. Visitation will be at the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home in Ubly on Thursday from 6:00-9:00 pm and Friday from 11:00 am until the service at 1:00 pm.
