Michael J. Kosal

Mr. Michael J. Kosal, 66 of Cass City, former teacher at Ubly Community Schools, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at his residence. Michael was born on October 24, 1945 in Detroit to the late Joseph and Alma (McCoy) Kosal. He married Barbara A. Summerer on June 17, 1967 in Port Huron. He was a teacher at the Ubly Community Schools for 25 years before he retired in 1992. He enjoyed woodworking, antiques and traveling. Michael is survived by his wife of 44 years, Barbara of Cass City; one daughter, Laura J. Kosal of Fairgrove; one son, Jeffery D. Kosal of El Paso, TX. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 am, Saturday, December 17 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Ruth. Rev. Peter Nwokoye, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at the Smigielski Funeral Home on Cass Ave in Minden City on Friday from 1-4 pm and 5-8 pm and Saturday at the church only from 10-11 am.
